ILR® Tag Series:

Beacon Tags - ILR i-B Series

IDENTEC SOLUTIONS' ILR i-B active RFID tags are tags designed to be cost effective, easy to implement and maintain, and to offer maximum flexibility. The i-B series of tags are beacon tags, meaning they continually send out their ID at pre-programmed intervals. This means that tags do not need to be interrogated in order for them to send their information—they do it automatically.

Beacon tags operate in the UHF frequency range and can be read under a variety of conditions at up to 100m (300 ft). Additionally, ILR beacon technology is available with an optional marker, allowing for extremely granular location determination such as lane discrimination for transportation applications.

Response Tags - ILR i-Q Series

IDENTEC SOLUTIONS' ILR i-Q active RFID tags are the original ILR tags and continue to be the workhorse for many customers. The i-Q series of tags comes with on-board memory, user interface (LED) and a variety of optional internal sensors (i.e. temperature).

i-Q active RFID tags are available with a number of air interface standards including ISO18000-7, and come in a variety of rugged housings depending on the required applications. i-Q tags are deployed in many applications worldwide, ranging from manufacturing to shipping and personnel monitoring.

Highlights:

• 500 meters (300 ft) read/write range - Allows automated identification, tracking and tracing of assets and people without human intervention.
• 8kB Bytes memory (Option: 32kB) - Stores user and process information as well as temperature data onto the tag to provide real-time tracking and tracing.
• UHF operating frequencies - Allows low-power, long communication range and high data transmission rates with minimal interference due to local conditions (869MHz or 915 MHz).
• 1,000 tags/sec. identification rate - Provides reliable identification of fast moving-objects.

RTLS Tags

The RTLS system is the newest development in IDENTEC SOLUTIONS’ Intelligent Long Range® (ILR®) interrogators.  ILR provides highly accurate, real-time data collection with minimal human intervention. The very long communication range of up to 500 m (1500 ft) allows automated identification, tracking and tracing of assets and people in areas as large as a steel construction workshop without human intervention.

The i-Q350 Active RFID RTLS tag, in conjunction with the i-SAT 300 RTLS reference generators, allow for precise localization within a few meters. The high rate of transmission even allows communication with rapidly-moving tags. Benefits include decreased reader infrastructure, reduced use of the conventional and often saturated 2.4 MHz band and less susceptibility to timing issues.

Highlights:

• Up to 500 m (1500 ft) localization range - Allows automated localization of vehicles, assets and people without human intervention.
• Tag operates in beacon mode - In this configurable operation mode the tag can automatically transmit date over a range of up to 500 m (1600 ft).
• Tag operates in response mode - In this standard operation mode data can be written onto or read from the tag over a range of up to 250 m (800 ft).
