IQ Beacon - Active RFID Software

Product Description:

IQ Beacon is a software application that is used to poll the Identec readers (via LAN, WAN or Internet) periodically or at a pre-determined frequency or time, to filter out certain reads based on pre-set parameters and to output a file for integration into a 3rd party system.

• Graphical Interface showing polled reader and tag data
• Polling:  OnRamp IQ polls all readers (via LAN, WAN or Internet) periodically at a pre-determined frequency (see Configuration)
• Filtering - IQ Beacon can filter out tag reads as follows:
  • Tag transmission received without a recognized iMarker ID
  • Any subsequent transmissions after the first tag transmission (that includes a recognized iMarker ID)
  • Tag transmissions that include an a iMarker ID that has already been received within a pre-defined period of time
• Output:
  • An XML message will be forwarded to a specific URL.
  • HTTP request can be used to communicate with client application
  • Details in the XML Output include:
    • Reader ID
    • Tag ID
    • Marker ID
    • Date / Time Stamp
    • Battery life indicator <20% remaining
• Configuration file:
  • Add/Remove: Readers - IP address
  • Add/Remove: iMarker IDs
  • Filtering parameter – time period
  • Polling frequency
  • URL for Output file
• Alerts:
  • No output received in configured time period
  • Reader no longer connected
• Log files:
  • New log file created each day
  • Filtered and unfiltered data stored
