ILR^® Series:

Beacon - ILR^® i-B Series

IDENTEC SOLUTIONS' ILR i-B active RFID readers and tags are designed to be cost effective, easy to implement and maintain, and to offer maximum flexibility. The i-B series of readers and tags use beacon technology, meaning the tags continually send out their ID at pre-programmed intervals.

Beacon tags operate in the UHF frequency range and can be read under a variety of conditions at up to 1,000m. Additionally, ILR beacon technology is available with an optional position marker, which broadcast a low frequency signal to a tag in close proximity. The tag transmission is then picked up by the reader to allow for extremely granular location determination such as lane discrimination for transportation applications.

Highlights:

• Up to 1,000 meter read range - Longest read-range for identification and tracking using beacon technology.
• UHF operating frequencies - Active RFID tags are available for both standard 915MHz and 868 MHz frequencies.

Response – ILR^® i-Q Series

IDENTEC SOLUTIONS' ILR i-Q active RFID readers and tags are the original ILR system and continue to be the workhorse for many customers. The i-Q readers can read data from the tags on-board memory, including data logs collected by a variety of optional internal sensors (i.e. temperature).

i-Q active RFID system is available with a number of air interface standards including ISO18000-7, and come in a variety of rugged housings depending on the required applications. i-Q readers and tags are deployed in many applications worldwide, ranging from manufacturing to shipping and personnel monitoring.

Real-Time Locating Systems - ILR^® RTLS Series

The RTLS system is the newest development in IDENTEC SOLUTIONS’ Intelligent Long Range^® (ILR^®) interrogators.  ILR provides highly accurate, real-time data collection with minimal human intervention. The very long communication range of up to 500 m (1500 ft) allows automated identification, tracking and tracing of assets and people in areas as large as a steel construction workshop without human intervention.

The i-Port M 350 RTLS readers, in conjunction with the i-SAT 300 RTLS reference generators, allow for precise localization of i-Q350 Active RFID RTLS tags within a few meters. The high rate of transmission even allows communication with rapidly-moving tags. Benefits include decreased reader infrastructure, reduced use of the conventional and often saturated 2.4 MHz band and less susceptibility to timing issues.
